We chose our builder just before we left for our four-week Home Exchange in Hong Kong, and recently signed the final version of the contract.

The project starts on Tuesday 27th April - we are excited! The two rainwater supply tanks are being delivered and setup, the old septic system is being capped off and decommissioned and the demolition is going to start.
We were able to get most of the block slashed in preparation for starting - 'Max The Slash' can't do the steeper banks with his tractor. We've had so much rain this summer that thegrass weeds have got waaaay out of control. We have got a LOT of work to do to get this landscaped while the house is being built.

Just to make life more interesting, we decided to move out of the rental house we are in, and find a place closer to the building site. The universe provided this house for us, and we move up there next week.
